Skills and support to step back into employment

Your local CAP Job Club is a friendly place where you will get practical help as you seek employment or career change. It's a relaxed environment with the chance to meet other jobseekers, get one-on-one support and gain the tools you need to find work.

Run in partnership with national charity Christians Against Poverty who have trained our Job Coaches to run group sessions each week with professionally designed course materials in a relaxed and friendly format featuring videos, discussion and input from local employment experts.

Steps to employment course

The weekly job club features a recurring cycle of a 10 week Steps to Employment course which covers the following topics:

  1. Finding your motivation
  2. Overcoming obstacles
  3. Discovering your strengths
  4. Getting to know employers
  5. Writing CVs and applications
  6. Succeeding in interviews
  7. Getting ready for work

We provide a positive and non-judgmental support space for people in various stages of employment crisis and journey with them to make positive changes at a pace that suits them.

The Greenock CAP Job Club at Kidron Project has three main intakes a year. Get in touch to register your interest in attending the next cycle of the course.
