Home management tips to support your health and wellbeing on a budget

Money impacts all areas of our lives: what we can or can’t afford, our relationships, what we eat, our health and wellbeing and much more. Your local CAP Life Skills is a friendly group where you’ll gain practical skills and discover new ways to live for a brighter future. 

If you want to see your money go further, find ways to save money, have more time time and less hassle in your day to day life, then Life Skills is for you.

Run in partnership with national charity Christians Against Poverty we run group sessions throughout the year with professionally designed course materials set in a relaxed environment with a mixture of practical activities and informal discussions.

 

Course

Life Skills is an eight-week course that will equip you with tools to help lift the pressure in your home life. You’ll meet with a group of like minded people and learn practical skills from our trained coaches – and have some fun along the way! The course covers the following topics:

  1. Lifting the pressure
  2. Taking control
  3. Making your money go further
  4. Staying control of your home energy
  5. Cooking on a budget
  6. Healthy you
  7. Healthy relationships
  8. Celebration!

Community

We know that when it comes to saving money and making lifestyle changes, there’s so much we can learn from each other. Everyone finds dealing with the pressures of life stressful and lonely challenge at times. That’s why CAP Life Skills is designed to be a fun and relaxed place where you’ll meet other people in similar situations, who understand you and can encourage you.

Coaching

Knowing exactly where your money is coming from and where it is going each month isn’t easy. You will have the opportunity to benefit from informal one-to-one support from a trained CAP Life Skills Coach who will help you to think about your spending choices and work towards a simple budget. This will help you gain better control over your money and lighten the pressures money can bring.
